The whole Bible, as it was written
Every Verse Painted is bringing all 31,102 verses of the King James Bible to life, one chapter at a time, as classical oil paintings in motion. Not a retelling, not a summary: the text itself, word for word.
Every word
Each chapter is narrated in full from the King James Version. Every verse is checked against the text so nothing is skipped, reordered or embellished.
Painted
Every scene is a painting in the tradition of classical history painting, then brought gently to life. Waves move, light breaks, the shepherds turn toward the angel.
Narrated
One steady narrator carries the whole Bible, with distinct voices for those who speak: the angel, Mary, Simeon, and many more.
In the beginning
Paintings from the first chapter of Genesis.
Coming first
Genesis
From “In the beginning” through creation, the garden, the flood and the patriarchs, chapter by chapter.
Luke 1 & 2
The angel Gabriel, Mary and Elisabeth, the birth in Bethlehem, the shepherds and the heavenly host, in time for Christmas.

Questions
Which translation do you use?
The King James Version (1769 standard text), which is in the public domain in the United States. Every chapter is narrated in full, exactly as written.
Is this made with AI?
Yes, in part. The paintings, animation and narration are created with the help of AI tools on our own hardware. Every chapter is then reviewed by hand, scene by scene, for faithfulness to the text. We catch things like a sun appearing before the fourth day, or anything that isn't in Scripture. The words are never generated: they are the King James text itself.
How do you depict God?
God is never shown as a human figure. His presence is shown as light, and His voice is heard. Jesus is shown as a person, as in the long tradition of Christian art, and angels appear as they do in classical paintings.
Is it free?
Yes. Every chapter is free to watch on YouTube.
How long will the whole Bible take?
The full King James Bible runs about 95 hours when narrated. We are releasing it chapter by chapter, starting with Genesis and the Christmas story in Luke.
